Go back Starting from Mod Organizer 2.4.0, we decided to only distribute the archive version of Mod Organizer on GitHub. See #1191 for the reasons. The installer can be used to do everything that was possible with the archive version. To upgrade an existing MO2 installation, simply point the installer to the existing MO2 installation folder.

The Mod Organizer 2 ini file (ModOrganizer.ini) had this in it: [General] gameName=Fallout 4 gamePath=N:\\Steam\\SteamApps\\common\\Fallout 4. I changed that now to [General] gameName=Fallout 4 gamePath=N:\\Fallout 4. thus circumventing the symlink and pointing MO2 at the actual place of Fallout 4.

This guide will only cover, at the moment, Mod Organizer 2 alpha 3, made by Tannin. A great man, and an 4 branches 0 tags. Open with [Mod Organizer 2.1.3] Game does not show mods So, after a while, I go back to FO4, update Mod Organizer to 2.1.3, and when I get into the game, no mods is available, the mods menu is empty. I launched LOOT, and the mod list is empty either. I wanted to mod Fallout 4, because there are to many good mods to make it not. But If I try to use the Mod Organizer 2 I get these message if I try to browse a new game in the MO2: Error Mod Organizer 2 F4SE Crash On Launch (no mods) - posted in Fallout 4 Technical Support: My F4SE will not work with or without mods. As soon as I open it might load [press and key to continue] but just black screen and crash. Fallout 4 works perfectly on its own so it isnt Fallout 4 itself (even re-downloaded the game). I am using the most recent F4SE and Fallout 4 game and followed the Mod Organizer 2 was developed by Tannin, the same guy who leads Vortex development. Reason why MO2 isn't the "main mod manager" is that it was made for Bethesda games. That was also the problem with Nexus Mod Manager. It was derived from old Fallout mod manager and put to use on several other games, which made it a mess. MO2 didn't take this path. When logged in, you can choose up to 12 games that will be displayed as favourites in this menu.
